Find networks fast with new Digital WiFi DetectorWednesday, January 17, 2007 Typically, a WiFi detector will show you whether or not there is a signal present and what the strength of that signal is. We have come across a much more powerful network 'sniffing' device called the Digital WiFi Detector.
This cool new device is like your regular WiFi detector on steroids. With it's fancy LCD screen you can now view information such as encryption status for both WEP and WPA, channel, SSID info, availability of the signal(s), as well as other imperative network information. If more than one network is available in your location, you can scroll up or down on the LCD screen to retrieve information on each individual network. You can identify both 802.11b and 802.11g networks at a range of up to 60m or 200 feet. The Digital WiFi Detector is also very tiny and lightweight. It's dimensions are 65mm x 70mm x 24mm. This cool gadget is also FCC compliant and CE approved.
