Logitech Z-10 Interactive Speaker System

Friday, November 10, 2006

While working on a computer a lot of us like to have some background music to better focus and remove any noise coming from the outside. One possible solution used to optimize the music playback we simply create playlists and launch the player.

This way is useful but what if you want to know the name of a song that you do not remember? Another “issue” could be the presence of some songs that are not appropriate to your actual mood. In both cases we have to reach the player and look at the name or skip the song losing some time.

Wouldn’t be great if you had the possibility to get the names (plus several other information) with a single glance to the speakers? Or easily skip the song with a single touch on the speakers? If the answer is yes then let me introduce you the Logitech Z-10 Interactive Speaker System.

It is a system that has touch-sensitive controls and a backlighted display. The former allows the user to change setting for the most used music functions (Volume, Bass, Treble) and the usual controls like play, pause, next and previous.

The Z-10 Interactive Speaker System’s display instead is used to show the user useful information about the song (title, total and elapsed time) plus volume and a clock.

As for the external look of the Logitech Z-10 Interactive Speaker System it is made by two speakers (each measuring 9.7"x4.5"x4.7") that fit perfectly at opposite ends of the computer. However if you want to use them distant from the computer the retail box contains also 6 feet long USB, speaker and AC cables.

You can buy the Logitech Z-10 Interactive Speaker System on the Logitech website for $149.99.
